Pangarchulla peak is a great trekking route, ideal for experienced. The journey is not that much tough, but the route throughout is long and needs enough energy to be covered. It will be ideal, if you choose the trek route through Kuari Pass. Gorgeous forests with alpine and deodars are at the foothill region, where excellent snow covered path with soft touch and nature's colourful beauty is there preserved for the next round of the trek. While going through the woods at the bottom level, you can see Himalayan Bears and leopards. Highlight of the trek would surely be the views of the most revered mountain in the world, Nanda Devi (7816 m) along with other towering giants like Dronagiri (7066 m), Kamet (7757 m), Chaukhamba (7128 m) & Trishul (7120 m) peak and many-many more
Day 1: Haridwar to Joshimath (6,700ft)
The Our vehicle will pick you from railway station in the morning. The drive is beautiful from Haridwar to Joshimath as the route is along tributaries of the Holy River Ganga.It will take almost 9-10 hrs from Dehradun to Joshimath
Day 2: Joshimath to Guling (9,600 ft) 5-6 hours
After breakfast around 7:30 AM, we head to Dhak Village to start our trek. The trail is a mix of steep and gradual ascent, mostly through villages. Trail is dusty up to Tugashi village. As you move further up from Tugashi village, the terrain changes and you’ll find yourself walking in and out a beautiful oak forest. The Guling campsite is inside the forest.
Day 3: Gulling Top to Khullara 11,122 ft (5-6 Hrs)
Today we will trek for around 6 km to Khullara through green vegetation and red rhododendron flowers which turn red during the blooming season in April & May. Climb up through the forested ridge of Rhododendron, Spruce and Silver Birch and then open space of Khullara. While trekking you can see Nanda Devi, Kalanka, Chang bang, Dronagri, Hathi Parvat, Gori Parvat.
Day 4: Khullara to Gailgarh 12300 ft (3 km Trek, 3 hrs)
Starting after breakfast from Khullara camp, we make our way skirting the forest lands towards the Gailgarh. In winters, this meadow becomes a spectacle—white snow falling like a great shroud all over the place as far as eyes can see. It will Take almost 3 hrs to reach Gailgarh. Today will be a less exhaustive trek before the final strike the summit.
Day 5: Gailgarh to Pangarchulla Peak Summit (14,700 ft ) and Back to Khullara
We will start early as this is the longest day on the Pangarchulla Peak Trek. First leg of today’s trek is a gradual ascend and then an arduous ascend to Pangarchulla Peak. The climb takes around 6 hours to reach summit and by 12 AM you should reach on summit. Pangarchulla Peak gives breathtaking 360 degree views of Garhwal Himalayas.
Day 6: Khullara - Dhak village - Joshimath
On the way down from Khullara, one by one the snow peaks will pop out of view and the same old village trails will remind you of the end of the journey. From Dhak, there will be a car ride till Joshimath .
Day 7: Joshimath to Haridwar 5-6 hours
Depart for Dehradun. Expected to reach Haridwar by 7 pm.
If you are beginner kindly offload your backpack, because trekking with heavy backpack in mountains is not an easy task especially when you are carrying around 8-10 kg uphill.
If you wish to offload your backpack, you can give it to Mule/porter.
Charges of offloading backpack 300per Day. Inform us in advance so
that we can arrange.
The backpack cannot weigh more than 11 kg. Backpack should have waterproof cover.
Jolly Grant Airport is the airport serving Dehradun, located about 48 km from the Haridwar. There is a daily flight from Delhi for Dehradun, reach Haridwar one day early if coming by flight.
Regular bus service from Delhi to Haridwar, from Delhi ISBT Kashmiri Gate. Usually buses drop you at Haridwar bus station. From there you have to come to Haridwar Railway Station. Food from Haridwar to Joshimath is not included in the trek cost

Trekking shoes: There will be several slippery patches on the trail, and you will need trekking shoes with good grip. Sports shoes will not be comfortable enough.
Backpack (50-60 liter): A backpack with sturdy straps and a supporting frame. Rain cover for backpack is essential.
Two warm layers: At the campsites, especially the higher ones, the temperature after sundown will drop to around 2-6 degrees. You will need at least three warm layers (two lights layers such as fleece and woolen and one padded jacket) for this trek.
Two trek pants: One pair of pants should suffice for this trek. But you can carry one spare pair in case the first one gets wet. Wear one pair and carry one pair.
Two collared t-shirts: Carry light, full sleeved t-shirts that prevent sun burns on the neck and arms. Again, wear one and carry one.
Thermals (Optional): Those who are more susceptible to cold can carry thermals to wear at night.
